Coach’s Corner
While scrolling older content, I came across a solid older interview that still holds up well for anyone thinking about program building and player development. Check out SimpleCoach to Coach w/ Mike Kobylinski, Head Women’s Coach at Central College (published roughly three months ago). It’s a thoughtful conversation on coaching approach and the DIII landscape—worth a watch if you enjoy the longer-form coach interviews.
Beyond D3: An Interesting Soccer Note
Away from the Division III fields, Tottenham Hotspur produced a memorable 2-0 Premier League win at Chelsea on October 24. Mathys Tel scored a stunning solo effort, and Chelsea played much of the second half down a man after Cole Palmer’s red card. It was Xabi Alonso’s first home defeat as Chelsea manager and a significant result in the early title/relegation picture.
That’s the wrap for October 24.
