After a weekend of NESCAC statement wins, an unbeaten St. Olaf machine, and a one-shot heist in Dubuque, conferences dropped weekly honors and a handful of programs moved midweek games. Official United Soccer Coaches national polls have not yet updated from the August 4 preseason lists; the first women’s regional poll is dated tomorrow. St. Scholastica 1, Loras 0 (Saturday, recap published today). Lanji Atanga scored in the 82nd minute — CSS’s only shot of the match. Loras outshot the Saints 16-1. Goalkeeper Afonso Silva made six saves, including a double stop in the 83rd, and Loras hit the bar with a minute left. CSS is 1-3 heading into MIAC play vs. Carleton.
