D3boards, last day

Public indexes do not print last-post clocks in a scrapeable way, so this is the live thread map rather than quoted new posts.

Men’s board (board 1522) had named members and 67 guests on it this evening. The threads carrying the season are still the long ones: NESCAC (685 pages), Mid-Atlantic (206), New England (136), Go West (114), CCIW (113), UAA (30), plus Liberty League, Empire 8, ODAC, NJAC, USC Rankings 2026, NPI Rankings 2026, the NPI simulator, and Kuiper’s thread on the NPI change coming for men’s soccer in 2027. EJay’s 2026 weekly pool is also active. The conversation is conference form, poll movement, and how the 2027 NPI tweak will reshuffle the at-large picture.

Women’s board (board 1523) had 19 guests on it. The live hubs are 2026 Women’s Soccer Top 25 (10 pages, started by CentPA), CCIW (24), UAA, NESCAC, and MAC Commonwealth. A Coaching Carousel thread is up, but nothing in the index showed a new hire landing in the last day. Older threads (2025 tournament, 2024 coaching changes, Aliceann Wilber) are still pinned in the list and were not the fresh traffic.

What X is talking about

The #d3soccer stream today is almost entirely athletics accounts posting live or recapping midweek games. Three themes:

  1. Ranked teams getting tested on short rest. Babson’s home loss to Amherst and Adrian’s 1-0 loss to Calvin were the clearest examples.
  2. Program firsts. Bethany Lutheran’s first win over Gustavus since 2009.
  3. Conference race updates in real time. Messiah-Hood, Rochester’s early 5-0, Lewis & Clark’s Northwest Conference doubleheader with George Fox.

Off the D3 map

The U.S. men’s national team closed its post-World Cup window with a 1-0 win over Canada at Allianz Field. Nineteen-year-old Justin Ellis redirected an Alex Freeman cross in the 29th minute. Canada’s Stephen Eustaquio left at halftime after a challenge from Gio Reyna. An x-ray ruled out a collarbone injury. The U.S. went 4-0 in the window, with wins over Peru, Chile, Mexico, and Canada. Northern Tribune

From the couch

Came across an older SimpleCoachTV sit-down while looking for something that was not another midweek recap. 2025 Season Preview with Travis Wall, Kenyon’s head men’s coach, posted August 6, 2025, still holds up. Wall talks through a younger roster after his first two recruiting classes replaced a senior-heavy group, scoring by committee instead of one focal point, and an NCAC that got harder when John Carroll joined. He also gets into the unglamorous stuff: midweek travel, no lights at Kenyon because of local ordinances, and how fast the national tournament selection parameters can move. Worth the 40 minutes if you coach or follow the Great Lakes.
