Coverage focuses strictly on NCAA DIII (not NJCAA or high school). Athletics Site Scan (Schools from Provided List + Broader Check)

A full sweep of every site on the long attached list of DIII programs is resource-intensive, but targeted checks and broader searches turned up these relevant items published around Oct. 31–Nov. 1 (day-before/current):

Men’s Focus

  • Widener University: Pride fell 4-2 at York College in the regular-season finale (Halloween). Jacob Simpson scored his first of the year; Allieu Kamara added another. Despite the loss, Widener (11-5-1, 5-3 MAC Commonwealth) hosts Hood on Nov. 3 in the 4/5 play-in.
  • Southwestern University: Pirates officially claimed the SAA regular-season championship for the first time in the DIII era. They earn the No. 1 seed for next weekend’s conference tournament.

Groupings above separate men’s/women’s game results from other categories. Tournament seeding and hosting rights dominate the schedule conversation as November arrives.

Non-D3 Soccer Note (Interesting Elsewhere)

San Diego FC snapped a long winless streak with a 1-0 road win over St. Louis City on Oct. 31. Anders Dreyer scored his team-leading 15th goal, and Pablo Sisniega earned a clean sheet. The result ended a 10-match skid for the visitors while St. Louis continued its recent slide after a strong unbeaten run earlier in the year. A reminder that the professional calendar is still active while college seasons wind down.

Recommended Watch (SimpleCoachTV)

While browsing the SimpleCoachTV channel, I came across an older video that still holds up well: “Best of the Best Soccer Playing Programs in Division III” (published February 2024). SimpleCoach breaks down the programs he most enjoys watching on both the men’s and women’s sides, with clear criteria and observations that feel relevant even as the 2026 season progresses. It’s a solid 21-minute watch if you want a thoughtful take on what makes certain DIII environments special.
