Exciting Time for All Things Division III Soccer in 2024
Thought I would take this latest revolution around the sun to talk about All Things Division III Soccer and the plans in place for 2024 and beyond. There have been countless discussions, emails and calls and thought, in the interest of full transparency I would lay this out. Perhaps I am currently inspired by watching MLS Commissioner Don Garber’s 2023 State of League …
Quite frankly, when I began this journey on 24 November, 2021 with the YouTube Channel, All Things Division III Soccer, and that I would be active on social media, launch a new website, and launch a Patreon page. Knowing all this, maybe I will lay out some of my thoughts on each of those.
The Origin Story – YouTube
Let’s start with the origin story of All Things Division III Soccer
What started out as a very bad video of counting passing as asking, Do Passes Matter in Division III Soccer has led to over 700 videos. These include countless coaches interviews, a show called Around D3 where we cover the latest bits of news in D3 Soccer, a show called Injured Time that allows us the flexibility to talk about topics of interest in the soccer world outside of Division II. And how can we not mention the Emmy Award nominated The New Show with @PaulNewman, where we banter about soccer during the season. We didn’t win the Emmy, unfortunately.
We will continue to deliver great content focused on Division III. You will probably start seeing more non-Division III content during the off season. In order for all of this to grow, well, we need to expand the audience a bit. But, fear not, the cornerstone will always be Division III.
Time to Grow – D3Soccer.Fans
Let’s move on to the website, D3Soccer.Fans.
I had been a fan of D3Soccer from the beginning. As a source of information, resources and community, it was unrivaled. From the All-American picks and news stories, it was unmatched. Unfortunately, the page itself has become just a URL for . It is good for historical archives and to provide links to the D3 Boards. It also had links to the Massey Ratings that have long been a point of … discussion among many of us!

As a result, it was our intention to find a way at reviving the D3Soccer. And more importantly, making it a place that could act as a marketplace of ideas and news about D3 men’s and women’s soccer. As time passed however, it was clear that there needed to be a new beginning. And D3Soccer.Fans was born.
The website, like the YouTube channel will be focused on Division III. But we won’t shy away from broader soccer topics. Think Injured Time but for the web. Like many of you, soccer is what piques my interest, and there is nothing short of interesting things happening in the game. But, once the season rolls around, we will remain laser focused on Division III.
One last item to mention. My goal for the fall is to have a functional calendar with every game, descriptions and video links, so that as a fan you will be able to find all the games when and how you want to watch them. This was one of the great things about D3Soccer – the list of games and video links. How I will do this? I have no idea, but will figure it out.
How to Pay? Patreon
Finally, let’s talk about the 3rd pillar of All Things Division III Soccer. Patreon.
I wasn’t planning on creating a Patreon Page for ATD3Soccer. But to do some of the things that are planned, well, some funds are needed. For a moderate fee, as a member you will receive members only content. From articles to videos. Everything.
I totally understand that everyone, every organization…. and the government …. is tugging at your every dollar. But if you can, the support will go a long way in supporting the growth of the platform.

And if That Wasn’t Enough ….
And finally, I have added content to a number of additional platforms. You can find video content on Golz.TV . Golz.tv is on a mission to bring the beautiful game to the United States of America. The brainchild of Jose Tellez, Golz is a home for soccer videos and shorts to educate, entertain, and inspire the next generation of soccer fans in North America. You can also find video content on Rumble.
Finally, all the interview and various shows are available in podcast form on your favorite podcast platform, including Spotify
As of right now, this is where we are at. Anything you can do to help spread the word to D3 Soccer or soccer fans in general, would be appreciated. We are trying to build out a solid foundation for years to come. And continue providing a platform for all the players and coaches that give it their all for the game.
Hope you enjoyed the year end … year coming updates. As always, if you have any questions, feedback, ideas, shoot me an email (SC149249 at AOL … yes, dial up AOL.).
In the meantime, I hope you and your families have a Blessed 2024!
SC.
